ADHD Didn’t Hold Riley and Merryn Back From Achieving Math Success
Summary
ADHD, ADD, and dyslexia didn’t stop Riley and Merryn from learning math, even after the kids transitioned from public to private school.
1.) Challenges
Riley and Merryn both have ADHD, ADD, and dyslexia. Their learning issues prevent them from focusing and learning subjects correctly and learning in traditional settings. Mathematics especially proved difficult for the kids. In addition, Riley is on the higher functioning autism spectrum.
Due to their learning issues and the fact that Riley was regularly bullied, both kids were moved from public school to private school. Since the change, Riley and Merryn have gained more confidence but needed to catch up on mathematics.
2.) Finding Elephant Learning
After Riley and Merryn’s mom became permanently disabled after a car accident, the family has struggled to pay for medical bills, private school, and other expenses. However, they still wanted to give Riley and Merryn the best educational foundation they could afford.
After reading reviews on Elephant Learning and seeing that it was an affordable option, the family enrolled Riley and Merryn in the program to see if it would give the kids a step up in their math learning.
